Waterfront Industrial Development Authority

(Stadium Authority)

The Delaware County Chester Waterfront Industrial Development Authority (DCCWIDA) is a five member single purpose Authority. Created by County Council in 2008, the Authority acts as the conduit bond issuer for the General Obligation Bonds issued in support of the construction of a major league soccer stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Authority acts as the liaison between Delaware County and the lessee of the stadium, the Philadelphia Union. Two members of the Authority should be either a resident or taxpayer of the City of Chester.
